As usually we know the normal releasing caliper disc brake and pneumatic negative friction brake, they are both of friction structure. But for the robot arm, it needs the normal locked brake with tooth structure, it is safe and light for this robot arm fixing. In view of this requirement, Handong design and made this updated pneumatic tooth brake CBM widely applied in mechanical arm, robot hand and other machine joint part based on traditional friction brake. 

This pneumatic tooth and tooth plate brake is spring applied air release, means it is normally in locked status when there is no air supply. After inputting air source, springs backed, then tooth and tooth plate separated, brake released.

CBM Air shaft normal braking tooth brake is also a type of spring applied air release brake. As usually, it is locked for stop, after inputting air source, tooth and tooth plates separated, this brake released. This CBM pneumatic tooth brake is also called safe air brake, it is popular applied for mechanical arm, robot arm and other arthrosis part braking.

CBM tooth and tooth brake working thoery is similar with HABB spring engagement brake. Normally, braking springs compressed piston end tooth and hollow shaft tube end tooth, brake is in braking status. After supplying air pressure, piston moves towards to and compresses braking springs in the direction of fixed base spline, both ends of tooth separated, brake released.

With this pneumatic tooth brake connecting, it is easy and convenient for working. It can effective provent robot arm shaking or wobble after stopped. On the other hand, this CBM negative pneumatic tooth brake takes air pressure as source, it can protect the environment greatly.
